Now Open in the Dallas Arts District

We are beyond thrilled to finally announce our opening in the Dallas Arts District! We are located in Elaine D. and Charles A. Sammons Park, and the Information Center also includes a box office and a visual presentation space created by AT&T.

Our hours right now are 7:30am-1:30pm Monday-Friday. We also plan to be open an hour before and after performances so you can relax with a warm Pearl Latte after the show. So next time you’re taking in some culture in Downtown Dallas, come by and see us!

More About the Information Center

The new structure will provide visitors information about events and institutions in the entire Dallas Arts District, including Klyde Warren Park and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. It will also include information about Dallas Summer Musicals, productions at Kalita Humphreys Theater, Latino Cultural Center and other nonprofit cultural venues. The Information Center box office will be open 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily. On performance nights in the Winspear Opera House, Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, Strauss Square or the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, the box office will stay open late.

The Best Coffee Songs of All Time

The conversation was started on Twitter a few weeks ago and it got us thinking: what are the best songs about coffee? This inspired us to create a list of the best songs about coffee and even some that reference our favorite beverage. And we want to hear from you too! What is your favorite coffee song?

Frank Sinatra – The Coffee Song

“And when their ham and eggs need savor
Coffee ketchup gives ‘em flavor
Coffee pickles way outsell the dill
Why, they put coffee in the coffee in Brazil”

Beastie Boys – Intergalactic

“I like my sugar with coffee and cream.”

Squeeze – Black Coffee in Bed

“There’s a stain on my notebook
Where your coffee cup was
And there’s ash in the pages
Now I’ve got myself lost”

Bob Dylan – One More Cup Of Coffee

“One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee ‘fore I go
To the valley below.”

Otis Redding – Cigarettes and Coffee

“It’s early in the morning
About a quarter till three
I’m sitting’ here talkin’ with my baby
Over cigarettes and coffee, now”

Local Favorite to Brew Up Java in New Information Center

The AT&T Performing Arts Center today announced that Dallas-based Pearl Cup Coffee will be the coffee vendor for the café space in its new Information Center, located in Elaine D. and Charles A. Sammons Park. Pearl Cup Coffee will offer coffee and tea beverages – including its signature Pearl Latte™- along with light fare and pastries.

“Pearl Cup has established itself as a local favorite for coffee lovers,” said Doug Curtis, president and acting CEO of the Center. “It has a great reputation for quality and service and a strong commitment to the community. We are excited to have a locally owned company providing coffee in this very unique space.”

The Information Center, which will also house the Center’s main box office, is scheduled to open next month. When it opens, Pearl Cup Coffee will be the only coffee shop located inside the Dallas Arts District. It will serve audiences, visitors, artists, students and workers in the District.

“The Dallas Arts District is at the center of so many of the exciting things happening today in Pearl Cup’s hometown, so being in the heart of it all at the AT&T Performing Arts Center is the perfect fit,” said Rita Davis, Vice President of Pearl Cup Coffee.

Customers can enjoy their drinks at café tables and chairs in Sammons Park. The Center also provides free AT&T Wi-Fi, Ping-Pong and foosball tables. Customers can also enjoy the free Thursday afternoon Patio Sessions concerts in the spring and fall.

The glass-enclosed Information Center was designed by Foster + Partners of London, which also designed the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House and Annette Strauss Square. Lord Foster is a Pritzker Prize-winning architect. In addition to the box office and Pearl Cup Coffee, it will contain a visual presentation space created by AT&T.

HOURS

Monday – Friday: Pearl Cup will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. or one hour after a performance in the Arts District.

Saturday – Sunday: Pearl Cup will open one hour before a matinee performance and two hours before an evening performance at the Center. It will close one hour after the performance.

Rent The Pearl Cup for Your Party!

Rent our Pearl Cup Coffee location on Henderson Avenue for your next fabulous party, reception or corporate event!

We can provide the space any night of the week from 8pm-1am.  Need our signature coffee drinks to be a party of your event? We can figure a Barista into your budget (but if you didn’t want one, well…then that’s just silly…but you don’t have to have a barista.) and the event organizer is welcome to bring in beer or alcohol at their own expense.

Note: Our barista would not be able to serve it from behind the bar because we don’t have a license to do so but you can have ice chests or buckets.

The space is rented in 2 hour blocks for $500 each without a barista.  With a barista, there is an additional charge of $7.50 per person which includes unlimited coffee/espresso drinks.  If you only want drip coffee and no espresso, that would be $5 per person.  If you wanted a barista but not the upfront cost, we could do a cash bar where your guests pay for their drinks themselves.

People are already booking so grab your calendar, mark your date and email our Multi-Unit Manager, Crystal, now:  [email protected]

We will help you plan the perfect date for your next big event!  All bookings are done on a first come, first served basis.
