National Coffee Day is Saturday September 29th and Pearl Cup Coffee is Giving Away Free Coffee!
September 28, 2012 – (DALLAS, TX) Reader’s Choice Best Coffeehouse in Dallas, Pearl Cup Coffee, will offer free coffee this Saturday from 9am-2pm at it’s Henderson Ave location in celebration of National Coffee Day. From 9 AM until 2 PM, Pearl Cup Coffee will provide one free 8oz drip coffee per person.
“We love our customers and customers love our coffee, so it only made sense to celebrate by providing the best means to celebrate National Coffee Day… Coffee!” says Pearl Cup owner Carlene Saelg. “This is a great opportunity for our community to get together and celebrate one of their loves.”
The offer is good for one 8oz drip coffee per person and is valid Saturday, September 29th from 9AM to 2PM at the Henderson location of Pearl Cup Coffee only.

Pearl Cup Coffee to open in Richardson Location
Richardson, Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 — Beloved specialty coffee shop, Pearl Cup Coffee, has announced it’s newest location at 2701 Custer Pkwy, Suite 917 in the II Creeks shopping center in Richardson. The II Creeks shopping center is a neighborhood supported location and home of Richardson Community Theatre, as well as wonderful restaurants and fitness centric businesses. In addition to their award winning coffee, the location will also sell beer and wine, and their expansive patio will be the centerpiece. The location is set to open late August/early September.
Founded in 2007 by Carlene Saelg and Rita Davis, the specialty coffee shop seeks to provide the most ethically sourced coffee in a space that reflects their sustainable commitment to green building practices. II Creeks is on the corner of Custer Parkway and Valley Glenn Drive, less than a mile from the University of Texas at Dallas.
“We are so excited to have found such a wonderful neighborhood in Richardson,” said Saelg. “II Creeks provides the perfect community feel that we’ve been looking for and that resonates with our brand. Everything about this location makes me joyful.”
“The demand for Pearl Cup Coffee to head north has been tremendous since our beginning and I am so excited to have the opportunity to become an integral part of a neighborhood mindful of having locally owned businesses,” said Davis.

This will be Dallas based Pearl Cup Coffee’s third location and the first outside of the city of Dallas. Pearl Cup Coffee announced in March that they will add a fourth location at the Sylvan | Thirty mixed use development in 2013.

Back in January, Lauren Daniels of the Dallas Observer food blog City of Ate wrote an article titled “Five Dallas Coffee Shops to Help Break Your Starbucks Habit.” In it she listed some of the best coffee shops in Dallas and critiqued each one briefly. Pearl Cup was ranked as the number one coffee shop to help break your Starbucks habit, and we couldn’t be happier! It is entirely worth mentioning that the other four shops listed in her article are absolutely worthy competition in the Dallas market of local coffee shops. It is important that these other shops exist. While we would love for you to get your coffee exclusively from us, we know that’s not always practical. The most important thing is that you support the entire culture of independent businesses buy choosing your local coffee shop over that other, ahem… habit. So here is a big shout out to Lauren Daniels and City of Ate for promoting a local minded cafe society. Here is what she had to say about Pearl Cup:
